Artwork for Julian and Benjamin
Julian, we received your paintings today! I loved getting them because they are from you. The colors and shapes look like a garden of flowers. Do you remember what you were thinking about when you were painting?
When Nonno and I opened your envelope, we had just gotten home from visiting Cousin Peter and his friend, Jennifer. Do you remember seeing Peter and Jennifer on our video call? They were sitting next to each other. Jennifer said that it was fun to see you.
When we were visiting Peter and Jennifer, we walked down a big hill to meet the goats. (Maybe you remember that Peter showed us the goats on our video call.) Peter chopped apples and carrots to bring to the goats. One goat is named Linda. She is white. One goat is named Max. He is brown and black. Linda is the mama and Max is her kid. Max wanted all the food. Max was very hungry! Linda let him eat as much as he wanted. While Max ate, we petted Linda. Linda has soft and smooth ears that are like velvet. Linda likes Jennifer very much. Linda wagged her small tail when Jennifer petted her.
After visiting the goats, we washed our hands and had a picnic with Peter and Jennifer. Peter and Jennifer are really good cooks. They served pasta with a yummy sauce they made from a plant Jennifer grows in her garden, called lovage; they made lovage pesto. We ate cake for dessert!
I made a painting of “Nonna’s Garden” for you. Please send us more of your beautiful artwork!
