Grapes Drawing Project
colored pencil on paper
4.25 x 5.75

Julian, this time I'm sending you an outline of my drawing, too. You get to trace one drawing and one outline! Of course there is room on the other side of the drawing to draw your own grapes, just like with your apple and leaf projects.

In the color drawing here, I made each grape into a rounded form, using dark and light colors. Do you see how it looks as if you could pick the little grapes off their stems in the colored-pencil drawing? It’s a fun game to pretend you’re picking each grape and eating it up—yum! I bet you know that game—you can teach it to Benny when he gets older.

The forms of the grapes in the drawing with dark and light colors have a name; they’re called spheres; they look kind of like little balls (balls are spheres). The shapes of the grapes in the outline are flat; they’re called circles.

Can you see how the shape of the whole grapes-bunch is kind of a triangle?

Remember, have fun; that’s the main thing. You can use your grapes project any way that makes you happy. I love you so much!
