Artwork for Julian and Benjamin
Julian, this man is wearing a hood filled with oxygen. This oxygen is a gas. Oxygen is one of the gasses that make up the air that we breathe every day, all the time. This oxygen is special partly because it’s all oxygen with no other parts of our air mixed in; it’s pure oxygen! When oxygen is like this, it’s a special medicine that people can breathe into their bodies. This medicine is called Oxygen Treatment.
I made two drawings of people I’m taking the oxygen medicine with. The sketches I made show how we breathe the oxygen. I wear a hood just like these hoods. Do you see the hoses that are connected to the hoods? The oxygen goes through the hoses and into the hoods so that we can breathe it in!
This treatment will take most of the summer. It starts every day after lunch and ends before dinner. It's a good way to spend vacation time reading fun books - and drawing!
